Saturn Banks Pipeline - a fully viable, minimal cost, zero tariff export route
The Saturn Banks Pipeline, a 24-inch concrete coated pipeline, was previously used to evacuate gas from the Thames area complex which was decommissioned following cessation of production in 2015. The pipeline was acquired by IOG for a nominal sum in April 2018 from the previous owners and has been repurposed and recommissioned to export Saturn Banks gas and condensate into the Saturn Banks Reception Facilities at Bacton terminal. A 6km extension was installed to the Southwark platform in 2022.
