History

Elland was discovered by Silverstone Energy (now part of NEO Energy) in 2006. It lies adjacent to the Vulcan field which was operated by Conoco Phillips and has now ceased production.

Development

The Elland field lies c.7km north-east of the Southwark field. Elland is expected to be developed as part of the Core Project – Phase 2, with two hydraulically stimulated development wells drilled by a jack-up rig through a suitable Normally Unmanned Installation platform, to be linked to the main Saturn Banks Pipeline export route via a new pipeline connection.
